Long day hike to the top of Half Dome, Yosemite National Park, with outstanding views of Vernal and Nevada Falls, Half Dome, Yosemite Valley and the High Sierra. The trail is 14 mi/22.4 km long (round trip, via Vernal and Nevada Falls), elevation gain 4800 ft/1475 m. Two metal cables allow hikers to climb the last 400 feet to the summit.
